a.k.a Car Lara is a multidisciplinary artist and experimental writer born and living in Queens, NYC (Lenapehoking), of Mexican and Honduran heritage. A 2024–25 recipient of the ESB Fellowship at the Poetry Project and the winner of the 2025 Palette Poetry Prize, their multilingual, multimedia work explores speculative cosmogonies and mythic entanglements through translation play; verses shaped by typographic symbols; asemic transliterations; and sound-text experiments.
